And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the livestock according to their kinds,
and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:25
The Masai Mara never ceases to give us wonder and amazement. Teeming with wildlife, there are miles of open grasslands, tall acacia trees, and thickets of brush.
We went there last month with another couple, Morgan and Kim, visiting pathologists from California. Together we spent three days with our guide Joseph in a safari vehicle, driving around the Mara, wherever the animals were, pulling in close while respecting their dignity and wildness.
I'll let the photos tell the rest.

Beautiful...you saw a leopard and a cheetah. Amazing. I really wanted to visit again and go here. I renewed my passport and couldn’t make plans until it arrived. Tricky scheduling due to an already planned trip to see my mom first week of November. Two months getting over a knee injury and Shingles hit Saturday. The man who helped with passport is from Mbasa. He had African art for sale so I asked. He and his wife own two Postal Annex shops...one right by my house and one in Del Mar. They live on ocean front property. He said they work hard. He goes back many times a year. I wish I’d known sooner. God bless the rest of your journey. It’s going quickly.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Terri! Our trip is a short one, hard to fit into - sorry! Hope you're feeling better!
